Recognition Notes
The MAD-2R is a 75-ton sniper, cruising at 43 km/h and topping out near 65, a 2760 rework of the 2612 MAD-1R. In place of the paired PPCs it carries twin ER PPCs, one in each arm alongside the Medium Laser already mounted there, with the AC/5 still in the right torso. The double heat sinks replace the base model's single heat sinks, letting the longer-ranged ER weapons run without the heat penalties of the original. It keeps the low, hard-to-target silhouette, the hyper-extending arm actuators, and its standing as a command 'Mech. General Motors builds it at Kathil, with Vandenberg Mechanized Industries producing it as well.
