Recognition Notes
The Commando COM-7X is a 25-ton striker that fights close in, a 3018 field refit that trades the COM-1A's long-range reach for brawling firepower. Where the original carried a single Large Laser in the right arm, the COM-7X mounts two Medium Lasers in the right arm and one in the left, backed by an SRM 6 in the center torso. Standard armor replaces the primitive plating of the 2463 original, and the engine now pushes the chassis to a cruising speed of 65 km/h and a top speed of 97, up from 54 and 86. It keeps the low, hard-to-target silhouette of the earlier model, and is assembled piecemeal at various sites as a field refit rather than a factory-line product.
