Recognition notes
The COM-1C rebuilds the Commando around close-in strike work, where the COM-1A of 2463 served as a scout. In place of the single Large Laser in the right arm, this variant splits its firepower between a Medium Laser in the left arm and an AC/2 in the right arm. Standard armor replaces the original's primitive plating, and the same 150 fusion engine now pushes cruising speed from 54 to 65 km/h and top speed from 86 to 97 km/h. It keeps the low, hard-to-target silhouette of the earlier model, and Coventry Metal Works builds it at Coventry.
