The Commando COM-7T "Blazing Inferno II" is a 25-ton striker that fights close in, a 3062 rebuild of the 2463 COM-1A original. Where the COM-1A carried a single Large Laser in the right arm, the COM-7T drops it for a dense laser battery: two ER Small Lasers in each leg, an ER Small Laser and a Small Laser sharing the center torso, and ER Medium Lasers in the left arm, right arm, right torso, and head. The chassis moves to an endo steel skeleton with Triple-Strength Myomer, and standard armor replaces the COM-1A's primitive plating. The same 150 fusion engine pushes cruising speed up from 54 to 65 km/h and top speed to 97, with a boosted cruising speed of 86 km/h under combat heat, and eleven double heat sinks replace the ten single sinks of the original. The type stands low with a hard-to-target silhouette. It is assembled as a field refit at various sites, with Coventry Metal Works also producing it at Coventry.
