Recognition notes
The COM-2D reworks the Commando as a close-in striker, where the COM-1A of 2463 served as a scout. In place of the single Large Laser in the right arm, this variant carries a Medium Laser in the left arm, an SRM 4 in the right arm, and an SRM 6 in the center torso. Standard armor plating replaces the base model's primitive armor, and the cruising speed rises from 54 to 65 km/h, with a top speed of 97 km/h. It keeps the low, hard-to-target silhouette of the original, and Coventry Defense Conglomerate builds it at Coventry.
