Recognition Notes
The COM-7S2 (Freyr) is a 25-ton striker built for close-in fighting, a 3070 rework of the 2463 COM-1A scout. Where the COM-1A carried a single Large Laser in the right arm, this variant fields twin ER Medium Lasers in the left arm and twin Streak SRM 4 racks in the right arm. A Clan XL fusion engine raises cruising speed from 54 to 65 km/h and top speed from 86 to 97 km/h, and the type now jumps 180 meters where the COM-1A had no jump capability. Inner Sphere hardened armor replaces the COM-1A's primitive plating, and Inner Sphere CASE lines the right torso. It keeps its low, hard-to-target silhouette, and is built by Arcturan Arms Refit Facility among other manufacturers.
