The Archer C is a 70-ton heavy missile boat that fights at long range, a 2824 mixed-tech rebuild of the 2458 ARC-1A. A 280 Clan fusion engine lifts its cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and its top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, and standard armor replaces the primitive plating of the original. Where the ARC-1A carries a Medium Laser in each arm, this variant fields an ER Medium Laser in the left arm and another in the right, and adds a pair of rear-facing ER Medium Lasers in the center torso alongside the paired LRM 20 racks in the side torsos. The heat-sink count rises from 10 single to 20 single, and the type retains its reinforced battle fists on both arms and its stable firing platform as a command 'Mech. Clan Refit produces it at various sites.
