Recognition Notes
The Archer ARC-4M is a 70-ton juggernaut that fights close-in, a 3050 field refit of the 2458 ARC-1A missile boat. Where the ARC-1A carried a pair of LRM 20 racks in the torsos, the ARC-4M replaces them with five SRM 4 launchers in the left torso and three more in the right torso, and adds a pair of medium pulse lasers in the center torso. The medium lasers in each arm carry over from the ARC-1A. A 280 fusion engine replaces the 255 unit, raising cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, and endo steel structure and standard armor replace the ARC-1A's standard structure and primitive armor. CASE now lines both torsos, and the heat-sink count rises from 10 single to 14 double. The refit is fielded from various sites rather than a single manufacturer.
