The ARC-2S is a 70-ton missile boat, a 2915 rework of the 2458 ARC-1A built on a heavier 280 fusion engine that lifts cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h. Where the ARC-1A carries a single LRM 20 in each torso, the ARC-2S splits that firepower into an LRM 15 paired with an SRM 4 in both the left and right torso. Standard armor replaces the base model's primitive plating, and a pair of rear-facing medium lasers is added in the center torso alongside the medium lasers already in each arm. It is built as a command 'Mech with reinforced battle fists on both arms and stands as a stable firing platform, manufactured by Bowie Industries at Carlisle.
