Recognition Notes
The Atlas C 2 is a 100-ton juggernaut, a field-refit rebuild of the 2755-era AS7-D using Clan-technology weapons while keeping the same 300 fusion engine and its 32 km/h cruise, 54 km/h top speed. Where the AS7-D carries a Medium Laser in each arm, this configuration mounts an ER Large Laser in the Left Arm and another in the Right Arm. The left torso trades the LRM 20 for an ER PPC and the SRM 6 for a Streak SRM 6, and adds a pair of Medium Pulse Lasers in the same location; the right torso's AC/20 gives way to an LB 20-X AC. Double heat sinks replace the original's single sinks, twenty in all. It keeps its command 'Mech status, reinforced battle fists on both arms, and enhanced communications gear, and is assembled at various sites as a field refit rather than a factory production line.
