Recognition Notes
The AS7-CM is a 100-ton assault rebuilt as a long-range sniper, where the AS7-D fought as a close-in juggernaut, cruising at 32 km/h and topping out near 54. In place of the twin medium lasers in the arms it carries an ER Large Laser in the right arm and an Anti-Missile System with a C3 Computer (Master) in the left arm, and the AC/20 in the right torso gives way to a Gauss Rifle. The left torso retains its LRM 20 but drops the SRM 6, and CASE now lines both the left and right torsos. The two rear-facing medium lasers in the center torso are replaced by rear-facing Medium Pulse Lasers, and a lighter XL fusion engine frees the tonnage for these changes while holding the same speed. Both arms still carry reinforced battle fists, and the type keeps its enhanced communications gear as a command 'Mech, assembled as a field refit at various sites rather than a single production line.
