Recognition Notes
The Atlas AS7-S3 is a 100-ton sniper rebuilt from the 2755 AS7-D juggernaut, trading close-range punch for stand-off firepower. Where the AS7-D mounted an AC/20 and paired medium lasers, the AS7-S3 carries a PPC and a Small Laser in each arm, a Gauss rifle in the right torso, and an LRM 15 in the left torso, with an Anti-Missile System in the left arm and a Small Laser in the head. Artemis IV fire control and a Guardian ECM suite sit in the left torso, and CASE lines both torsos. A 300 light fusion engine and 14 double heat sinks replace the AS7-D's 300 fusion engine and 20 single heat sinks, holding the same cruising speed of 32 km/h and top speed of 54 km/h. It remains a command 'Mech with reinforced battle fists on both arms and enhanced communications gear, built by Defiance Industries at Hesperus II.
