Recognition Notes
The AS7-K4 is a 100-ton assault built for the brawl, a 3098 rework of the 2755-era AS7-D. Where the original mounted twin medium lasers, an LRM 20, an SRM 6, an AC/20 and a rear-facing medium laser, this variant swaps in an ER PPC in each arm, a Rotary AC/5 alongside an SRM 6 in the left torso, and a second SRM 6 in the right torso. A lighter 400 XL fusion engine replaces the base model's 300 fusion engine, lifting cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h. Ferro-fibrous armor replaces the AS7-D's standard plating, and 13 double heat sinks stand in place of the earlier 20 single sinks. It remains a command 'Mech with reinforced battle fists on both arms and enhanced communications gear, built by Luthien Armor Works at Kaznejoy and by Defiance Industries at Hesperus II.
