Atlas AS7-C

The AS7-C is a 3050 field refit of the 2755 Atlas AS7-D, reworking the chassis from a close-in juggernaut into a 100-ton sniper that fights at long range. Where the AS7-D carries an AC/20 in the right torso, the AS7-C mounts a Gauss rifle there, and its arms trade the original medium lasers for a pair of ER large lasers, with an Anti-Missile System added alongside the left arm's laser. The LRM 20 in the left torso carries over, but the SRM 6 is gone, and the twin rear-facing medium lasers of the AS7-D are replaced by a single rear-facing Medium Pulse Laser in the center torso. An XL fusion engine replaces the standard fusion plant while holding cruising speed at 32 km/h and top speed at 54, and CASE now lines both the left and right torsos. A C3 slave unit sits in the head, and the command 'Mech's enhanced communications gear and reinforced battle fists on both arms carry over from the original. As a field refit it is assembled at various sites rather than a single manufacturer's line.
