Recognition Notes
The WVR-9W is a 55-ton striker, a 3073 rebuild of the 2471 Wolverine that fought as a skirmisher. Where the WVR-1R carried an AC/5 and a Medium Laser, this variant fields an MML 5 in the left arm, a pair of Light PPCs in the right arm, and an ER Medium Laser in the head, with the left arm's MML 5 tied to an Artemis IV fire-control system and CASE II. A 275 XL fusion engine and light ferro-fibrous armor replace the original's 265 fusion engine and primitive plating, lifting cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h and top speed from 65 to 86, while jump range extends from 120 to 210 metres. Twelve double heat sinks replace the ten single sinks of the WVR-1R, and a C3i computer sits in the right torso. It serves as a command 'Mech with enhanced communications gear, and the right arm remains jettisonable. Luthien Armor Works builds it at Dieron.
