Recognition Notes
The WVR-6M is a 55-ton skirmisher that fights at medium range, a 2816 rebuild of the 2471 WVR-1R. Where the original carried an AC/5 in the right arm, this variant fields a large laser and a medium laser in that same arm, and it adds an SRM 6 in the left torso; the medium laser in the head carries over. A 275 fusion engine replaces the 265, lifting cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h and top speed from 65 to 86 km/h, and jump range extends from 120 to 150 metres. Standard armor replaces the WVR-1R's primitive plating, and the heat-sink count rises from 10 to 14 single sinks. This configuration serves as a command 'Mech with enhanced communications gear, and both variants retain a jettisonable arm weapon. Gibson Federated BattleMechs builds it at Gibson, with Kallon Weapon Industries producing it at Thermopolis as well.
