The WVR-6K rebuilds the 55-ton skirmisher's original Wolverine airframe from the ground up, trading the WVR-1R's single autocannon/5 for a right-arm battery of a large laser, a medium laser, and a small laser, while a medium laser still sits in the head and an SRM 6 now fills the left torso. A 275 fusion engine replaces the 265 unit, lifting cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h and top speed from 65 to 86 km/h, and standard armor plating supersedes the primitive plating of the 1R. Heat sinks rise from 10 to 14 single, and the jettisonable arm weapon carries over from the original. This variant serves as a command 'Mech and carries enhanced communications gear, features absent from the WVR-1R. Amalgamated Sword and Steel builds it at Oldsmith.
