Recognition Notes
The WVR-10V2 is a 55-ton sniper, a 3143 rebuild of the 2471 WVR-1R that reworks the Wolverine for long-range fighting. Where the original carried an AC/5 in the right arm, this variant mounts a Gauss rifle there, and the head-mounted medium laser gives way to an ER medium laser. A 330 XL fusion engine replaces the 265 fusion unit, lifting cruising speed from 43 to 65 km/h and top speed from 65 to 97 km/h, with jump range extended from 120 to 180 metres. Light ferro-fibrous armor over an endo steel structure stands in for the WVR-1R's primitive plating, and the ten heat sinks are now double-strength rather than single. The type serves as a command 'Mech, fitted with enhanced communications gear, and retains the jettisonable arm weapon of the earlier model; Kallon Weapon Industries builds it at its Wernke plant.
