Recognition Notes
The WVR-8C is a 3067 rebuild of the 2471 Wolverine WVR-1R, a 55-ton skirmisher that trades the original's AC/5 and single Medium Laser for a Large Pulse Laser and Small Pulse Laser in the right arm, a Medium Pulse Laser in the center torso, and a Streak SRM 6 in each torso. A 275 XL fusion engine and endo steel structure lift cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h and top speed from 65 to 86 km/h, with jump range extending from 120 to 150 metres. Standard armor replaces the primitive plating of the WVR-1R, and thirteen double heat sinks stand in for the original's ten single sinks. A C3 slave unit fills the head, marking this out as a command 'Mech with enhanced communications gear, and the right arm's weapon load remains jettisonable. Victory Industries, formerly Norse BattleMech Works, builds it at Marduk.
