Recognition notes
The TDR-9NAIS is a 65-ton skirmisher, a 3067 refit of the 2491 TDR-1C missile boat. Where the original carried a Machine Gun, a Large Laser, a Medium Laser, an LRM 15 and an SRM 2 spread across its arms and torsos, this refit pares the loadout to a Rotary AC/5 in the right arm and a Streak SRM 6 with an ER Medium Laser in the left torso. A 325 XL fusion engine replaces the 235 fusion powerplant, raising cruising speed from 32 to 54 km/h and top speed from 54 to 86 km/h. Endo steel internal structure and standard armor replace the primitive plating of the TDR-1C, and 13 double heat sinks replace the original's 10 single sinks. The frame is described as rugged and field-serviceable, contrasting with the maintenance-intensive TDR-1C. New Avalon Institute of Science performs the refit at its New Avalon facility.
