The TDR-5L is a 65-ton brawler, a 2823 rebuild of the 2491 TDR-1C. Where the original mounted twin machine guns in the left arm, this variant carries two small pulse lasers, and the right arm's large laser gives way to an ER large laser. The left torso's three medium lasers carry over, while the right torso's SRM 2 becomes a Streak SRM 2 alongside the LRM 15, backed by an Artemis IV fire-control system and CASE. A heavier 260 fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, standard armor replaces the primitive plating of the TDR-1C, and 13 double heat sinks stand in for the original's 10 single sinks. The chassis keeps its rugged, field-serviceable frame, and Earthwerks Ltd. builds it at Tikonov.
