Recognition Notes
The TDR-5Sb2 is a 65-ton brawler, a 2680 rebuild of the 2491 TDR-1C original. In place of the Machine Gun in the left arm it carries a Small Pulse Laser, and the Large Laser in the right arm gives way to a PPC. The Medium Laser in the left torso and LRM 15 in the right torso carry over from the TDR-1C, while the SRM 2 there is replaced by a Streak SRM 2. A 260 fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, and endo steel internal structure replaces the standard structure of the original. Standard armor now covers the frame in place of the primitive plating, and the heat-sink count rises from 10 single sinks to 14 double sinks. The type is recognizable by its rugged, field-serviceable frame, and Earthwerks Incorporated builds it at Terra along with other sites.
