The Thunderbolt TDR-7S is a 65-ton brawler, a 3091 rebuild of the 2491 original. Where the TDR-1C's left arm carried twin Machine Guns, this variant mounts twin Small X-Pulse Lasers, and the Large Laser in the right arm becomes an ER Large Laser. The three Medium Lasers in the left torso become ER Medium Lasers, and the LRM 15 moves there from the right torso, leaving the SRM 2 alone in the right torso; CASE II now lines the left torso as well. Endo steel internal structure and a 260 fusion engine raise cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, and standard armor replaces the original's primitive plating while 14 double heat sinks replace the 10 single sinks. The frame is rugged and field-serviceable, and it is built by Trellshire Heavy Industries at Adelaide.
