Recognition notes
The Thunderbolt TDR-5SE is a 65-ton skirmisher, a field-refit rework of the TDR-1C that traded that model's missile-boat role for closer, harder-hitting work. Where the 1C carried a pair of machine guns in the left arm and split its missile fire between an LRM 15 and an SRM 2 in the right torso, the 5SE strips the machine guns and consolidates its indirect fire into a single LRM 10 in the left torso, joined there by three medium lasers; the Large Laser stays in the right arm. A heavier 260 fusion engine lifts cruising speed from the 1C's 32 km/h to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, and a jump capability of 120 metres gives it mobility the original lacked entirely. Standard armor replaces the 1C's primitive plating, and the heat-sink count rises from 10 single sinks to 17. The type carries a rugged, field-serviceable frame, consistent with its origin as a field refit built at various sites rather than a dedicated production line.
