Recognition Notes
The MAD-4S is a 100-ton juggernaut, a 3064 rework of the 3012 MAD-4A, cruising at 32 km/h and topping out at 54. Where the MAD-4A carried a PPC and Medium Laser in each arm, the MAD-4S replaces them with an ER PPC and ER Medium Laser in the Left Arm and matching ER PPC and ER Medium Laser in the Right Arm, and a Heavy Gauss Rifle in the Center Torso takes the place of the earlier model's Large Laser. The engine switches from a 300 fusion engine to a 300 light fusion engine, and the heat-sink count drops from 29 single to 16 double. It remains a command 'Mech with a low, hard-to-target silhouette and hyper-extending arm actuators, built by General Motors/Blackwell Corporation, now produced at both New Valencia and Outreach.
