Recognition Notes
The RFL-9T is a 60-ton rebuild of the 50-ton RFL-1N, moving the Rifleman up a full weight class while keeping the same 240 fusion engine, so cruising and top speed hold at 43 and 65 km/h. Where the RFL-1N mounted a Large Laser and Medium Laser in each arm, this configuration replaces them with a Light PPC and Light AC/5 in each arm, and a pair of ER Medium Lasers sit in the side torsos in place of the original arm-mounted medium lasers. Stealth armor replaces the RFL-1N's primitive plating, and the 10 double heat sinks work with a Guardian ECM suite in the center torso, CASE in the left torso, and a targeting computer in the right torso, none of which the base machine carried. The anti-aircraft fire control, fixed searchlight, and enhanced communications gear carry over from the RFL-1N, and Taurus Territorial Industries builds this refit at Taurus.
