Recognition Notes
The Rifleman RFL-5CS is a 60-ton sniper, a decade-spanning field refit of the 2504 RFL-1N that trades bulk and armor scheme for reach and heat management. In place of the medium laser in each arm it carries an Ultra AC/5, while the large laser in each arm carries over from the original. The heavier 300 XL fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h and top speed from 65 to 86 km/h, and ten double heat sinks replace the RFL-1N's twelve single sinks. Standard armor plating replaces the original's primitive protection. The type keeps its anti-aircraft fire control, fixed searchlight, and enhanced communications gear from the earlier model, and is assembled as a field refit at various facilities rather than by a single dedicated manufacturer.
