The Rifleman RFL-3N is a 60-ton heavy sniper, a heavier rebuild of the 2504 RFL-1N brawler that reached service in 2770. Where the RFL-1N pairs a large laser with a medium laser in each arm, the RFL-3N drops the arm-mounted medium lasers for an AC/5 alongside the large laser in each arm, and moves a medium laser into the left torso and another into the right torso. Heat-sink count falls from 12 single to 10 single, while standard armor replaces the RFL-1N's primitive plating, and cruising speed holds at 43 km/h with a top speed of 65 km/h despite the added ten tons. The type carries anti-aircraft fire control, a fixed searchlight, and enhanced communications gear, and is built by Trellshire Heavy Industries at Twycross, with production also at other sites.
