Rifleman RFL-8X

The RFL-8X rebuilds the Rifleman as a 60-ton heavy skirmisher, a jump up from the 50-ton medium brawler of the 2504 RFL-1N. Where that original mounted a Large Laser and Medium Laser in each arm, the 8X swaps in an ER PPC and ER Medium Laser per arm, and adds a further ER Medium Laser in each torso. A 300 light fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h, endo steel structure replaces the standard framework, and 16 double heat sinks replace the base's 12 single, with standard armor plating over what had been primitive. Anti-aircraft fire control, a fixed searchlight, and enhanced communications gear carry over from the RFL-1N. Kallon Weapon Industries builds it at Nanking, with field refits handled elsewhere.
