Rifleman RFL-6D

The Rifleman RFL-6D is a 60-ton skirmisher that fights at stand-off to medium range, a 3069 rebuild of the 2504 original that adds ten tons and turns the chassis from a brawler into a ranged fighter. Where the RFL-1N carried a Large Laser and a Medium Laser in each arm, the RFL-6D replaces that battery with two Light AC/5s in the left arm and two more in the right, and moves its energy weapons to a pair of ER Medium Lasers in the torsos. A 300 XL fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h and top speed from 65 to 86 km/h, while endo steel structure and standard armor plating replace the base model's standard structure and primitive plating. Ten double heat sinks replace the RFL-1N's twelve single sinks, and CASE now lines both torsos alongside a C3 slave unit in the head. Anti-aircraft fire control, a fixed searchlight, and enhanced communications gear carry over from the RFL-1N, and Kallon Weapon Industries builds the type at its Talon (Wernke) plant.
