The GRF-6S (Francine II) is a 55-ton skirmisher, five tons lighter than the 2465 GRF-1A original it descends from and built to fight at stand-off range rather than the Sniper role of that primitive forebear. Where the GRF-1A carried a single Primitive Prototype PPC in the right arm and an LRM 5 in the right torso, this variant fields a Snub-Nose PPC in the right arm, an LRM 15 in the right torso, and adds a trio of ER Medium Lasers split between the left arm and the center torso. A lighter 275 light fusion engine and endo steel structure lift cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h and top speed from 65 to 86 km/h, and a supercharger in the left torso pushes sprint speed to 108 km/h when engaged; jump range grows from 90 to 150 metres. Laser-reflective armor replaces the GRF-1A's primitive plating, and CASE lines the right torso. Both arms carry reinforced battle fists, and one arm weapon is jettisonable on a frame built for field servicing; Maxwell Manufacturing, Inc. builds it at Procyon, the same site that produced the original.
