The GRF-6CS rebuilds the Griffin as a 55-ton sniper, lighter than the 60-ton GRF-1A that first carried the name, and trades that original's 2465-era Primitive Prototype PPC for a proper ER PPC in the right arm while its LRM 15 in the right torso far outranges the old LRM 5 in the same location. A 275 XL fusion engine replaces the standard 290 fusion plant, lifting cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h and top speed from 65 to 86 km/h, and a jump capability of 150 metres nearly doubles the GRF-1A's 90-metre jump. Endo steel structure and standard armor replace the primitive-era structure and armor, and twelve double heat sinks stand in for the original's eleven single sinks. The design adds a pair of ER medium lasers, one in the left arm and one in the center torso, along with a C3i computer and Guardian ECM suite in the left torso and an Artemis IV fire-control system with CASE in the right torso. Both arms carry reinforced battle fists, one arm weapon is jettisonable, and the frame is built rugged and field-serviceable.
