Recognition Notes
The Griffin GRF-5K is a 55-ton missile boat that fights at long range, a lighter rebuild of the 2465 GRF-1A sniper carried out in 3071. Where the GRF-1A mounted a Primitive Prototype PPC and an LRM 5 in the same right-arm and right-torso locations, the GRF-5K fields a Light PPC and an LRM 10 there instead, and adds an ER Medium Laser in the center torso. A 275 light fusion engine replaces the 290 fusion engine, raising cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h and top speed from 65 to 86 km/h, and jump range extends from 90 to 240 metres. Light ferro-fibrous armor replaces the primitive plating of the original, CASE lines the right torso, and both arms carry reinforced battle fists with a jettisonable arm weapon. Victory Industries builds the type at Marduk.
