Griffin GRF-1E2 "Sparky 2.0"

The GRF-1E2 'Sparky 2.0' reworks the Griffin down from the 60-ton heavy sniper of the 2465 GRF-1A into a 55-ton medium skirmisher. Where the GRF-1A carried a Primitive Prototype PPC and an LRM 5, this variant fields an ER PPC in the right arm and drops the missile rack for four medium lasers, split between ER Medium Laser and Medium Laser pairs in the left and right torsos, with a single ER Medium Laser in the center torso, and adds a targeting computer in the left torso. The lighter 275 light fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 43 to 54 km/h and top speed from 65 to 86 km/h, and jump range rises from 90 to 150 metres. Ferro-fibrous armor and 14 double heat sinks replace the original's primitive plating and 11 single heat sinks. Both arms carry reinforced battle fists, one of them jettisonable, on a frame built for field maintenance and turned out as a field refit at various sites rather than a single factory line.
