Recognition Notes
The Griffin GRF-2N is a 55-ton skirmisher, a lighter 2751 rebuild of the 2465 GRF-1A sniper. Where the original mounted a Primitive Prototype PPC and a single LRM 5, the GRF-2N carries an ER PPC in the right arm and fields an SRM 6 in the left torso and an SRM 6 in the right torso instead. A lighter 275 fusion engine and endo steel internal structure bring the weight down from 60 to 55 tons, and cruising speed climbs from 43 to 54 km/h, with top speed near 86 km/h and jump range up from 90 to 150 metres. Ferro-fibrous armor replaces the primitive plating of the original, and double heat sinks stand in for its single sinks. A Guardian ECM suite sits in the left torso, with CASE in the right torso, and both arms carry reinforced battle fists on this rugged, field-serviceable frame with a jettisonable arm weapon. Earthwerks Incorporated builds it at Keystone.
