Recognition notes
The Valkyrie VLK-QT2 is a 30-ton striker rebuilt from the 2787 VLK-QA missile boat into a 3081 close-in fighter. Where the VLK-QA carries a Medium Laser and an LRM 10, this refit mounts a Light PPC in the right arm and a Streak SRM 6 in the right torso, with CASE lining that same torso. A lighter 210 XL fusion engine and endo steel structure lift the cruising speed from 54 to 76 km/h and top speed from 86 to 119 km/h, and jump range extends from 150 to 210 metres. Heat sinks change from 11 single to 10 double, and the type keeps its enhanced communications gear and easily-serviced design. Vandenberg Mechanized Industries performs the refit at New Vandenberg.
