Valkyrie VLK-QS5

The VLK-QS5 is a 30-ton missile boat, a 3070 rework of the 2787 VLK-QA. In place of the LRM 10 in the left torso, it fields an MML 9 in the right torso, backed by an Artemis IV fire-control system and CASE, while the Medium Laser in the right arm carries over. Endo steel internal structure and ferro-fibrous armor replace the standard structure and armor of the original, though the heat-sink count drops from 11 to 10 single. Cruising and top speeds hold at 54 and 86 km/h with the same 150 fusion engine, and the design keeps its enhanced communications gear and easily-serviced layout. Arcturan Arms Refit Facility produces the type at Arcturus, with Defiance Industries also building it at Hesperus II.
