Valkyrie VLK-QDD

The VLK-QDD is a 30-ton missile boat that fights at long range, a 3106 rebuild of the 2787 original. Where the VLK-QA carries a Medium Laser in the right arm, this configuration mounts an ER Medium Laser there, and its LRM 10 in the left torso now feeds through an Artemis IV fire-control system. A lighter 180 light fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 54 to 65 km/h and top speed from 86 to 97, and jump range extends from 150 to 180 metres. Ferro-fibrous armor replaces the standard plating of the original, CASE lines the right torso, and ten double heat sinks replace the eleven single sinks of the VLK-QA. The type keeps its enhanced communications gear and easily-serviced design, and Corean Enterprises builds it at New Avalon.
