Banshee BNC-9S2

The BNC-9S2 is a 95-ton assault that fights at long range, cruising at 32 km/h and topping out near 54, a 3109 rebuild of the 2445 original. Where the BNC-1E carried an AC/5 in the left torso and a Primitive Prototype PPC in the right torso, this variant fields a Gauss Rifle in the left torso, backed by a Heavy PPC and a Light PPC both in the left arm and a second Light PPC in the right arm. In place of the twin center-torso medium lasers and the head-mounted small laser, an ER Medium Laser now sits in the head, and a targeting computer and boosted C3 slave unit occupy the right torso. The lighter 285 light fusion engine replaces the 345 fusion engine, and standard armor and 14 double heat sinks stand in for the original's primitive armor and 16 single heat sinks. CASE lines the left torso, and the frame keeps the rugged, field-serviceable build of the earlier machine. Defiance Manufacturing Annex builds it at Kwangjong-ni.
