Banshee BNC-5S

The Banshee BNC-5S is a 95-ton assault that fights at long range, a 3053 rebuild of the 2445 original that trades the BNC-1E's AC/5 and Primitive Prototype PPC for a Gauss rifle in the left torso and a pair of ER PPCs in the right torso. Twin medium lasers now fill the left arm, an SRM 6 sits in the right arm, and rear-facing medium lasers cover the left and right torsos alongside small lasers in the center torso and head. A 380 XL fusion engine replaces the original's 345 fusion powerplant, lifting cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, while standard armor plating replaces the primitive protection of the BNC-1E and the heat-sink fit drops from 16 single to 14 double units. The rugged, field-serviceable frame carries over from the original design. HDF Manufacturing builds the type at Falsterbo, with additional production at Defiance Industries' Hesperus II line.
