Recognition Notes
The Banshee BNC-7S is a 95-ton assault that fills a brawler role, a 3063 rebuild of the 2445 BNC-1E sniper. Where the BNC-1E carried an AC/5, a Primitive Prototype PPC, a Medium Laser, and a Small Laser, the 7S replaces that whole battery with an ER PPC in the left arm and a Gauss Rifle in the left torso, backed by an ER Medium Laser in each arm and torso location and an SRM 6 in the right torso. A 380 light fusion engine and endo steel structure lift its cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and its top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, and the frame keeps its rugged, field-serviceable build. Fourteen double heat sinks replace the BNC-1E's sixteen single sinks, and standard armor covers the chassis in place of the original's primitive plating. Defiance Industries builds the type at Hesperus II.
