The BNC-3Q is a 95-ton juggernaut, a field-refit rebuild of the 2445-era BNC-1E for close-in punishment. Where the original mounted an AC/5, a Primitive Prototype PPC, and twin medium lasers across its torsos, the BNC-3Q strips that battery down to a single AC/20 in the right torso, backed only by the small laser retained in the head. A larger 380 fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, though the armor reverts from primitive to standard plating and the heat-sink count drops from 16 to 12. The frame keeps its rugged, field-serviceable construction, and this variant is assembled piecemeal at various sites rather than by a single manufacturer.
