Recognition Notes
The Banshee BNC-5S (Vandergriff) is a 95-ton assault that fights at stand-off range, cruising at 43 km/h and topping 65, with a single jump carrying it 120 metres — reach the 2445-vintage BNC-1E sniper never had. Where that original mounted an AC/5 and a Primitive Prototype PPC, this rebuild trades both for a pair of ER PPCs, one in the left arm and one in the right torso, and adds an LB 10-X AC in the left torso and an SRM 4 in the right arm. Its twin medium lasers move from the center torso into the left arm, and the head no longer carries a small laser. A 380 XL fusion engine and 14 double heat sinks replace the 345 fusion engine and 16 single heat sinks, and standard armor takes the place of the BNC-1E's primitive plating. It keeps the rugged, field-serviceable frame of the chassis, and it's assembled as a field refit at various sites.
