Banshee BNC-8S

The BNC-8S rebuilds the Banshee as a 95-ton brawler that closes to short range, a 3070 rework of the 2445 BNC-1E sniper. Where the BNC-1E carried an AC/5 in the left torso, this variant fields an LB 10-X AC in that location, and the right torso now bristles with an ER Large Laser, two Medium Lasers, an ER Small Laser, and an ER Medium Laser in place of the original's single Primitive Prototype PPC. The right arm adds a Snub-Nose PPC and an ER Medium Laser, while the left arm carries a hatchet and a C3 slave unit, and a Guardian ECM suite and CASE fill out the torsos. A 380 XL fusion engine with Triple-Strength Myomer lifts cruising speed from the BNC-1E's 32 km/h to 43 km/h, with a boosted cruising speed of 65 km/h under combat heat, and standard armor replaces the primitive plating of the original. The type keeps the rugged, field-serviceable frame of its predecessor, and Defiance Industries builds it at Hesperus II, with additional production at the Defiance Manufacturing Annex.
