Merlin MLN-1P

The MLN-1P is a 60-ton juggernaut, a 3114 field rebuild of the 3010 MLN-1A, cruising at 43 km/h and topping out near 65. In place of the paired medium lasers it carries Medium VSP Lasers in each arm, and where the base model's right torso paired a PPC with a machine gun in the left torso, this configuration mounts a Large VSP Laser in the right torso and drops the machine gun outright, keeping the Flamer in the left torso and the LRM 5 alongside the Large VSP Laser. Heavy ferro-fibrous armor replaces the MLN-1A's standard plating, and the heat-sink count falls from 18 single to 13 double. The frame keeps its rugged, field-serviceable build and remains an easily-serviced design, assembled through field refit at various sites rather than a single factory line.
