Recognition notes
The Merlin MLN-1C is a 60-ton heavy brawler, a 3068 refit of the 3010 MLN-1A that closes to short range on its 240 fusion engine, cruising at 43 km/h and topping out near 65. In place of the paired medium lasers the arms carry ER medium lasers, and the left torso's machine gun is dropped, leaving the flamer alone alongside it. The right torso still pairs a PPC with an LRM 5, and heat-sink count rises from 18 to 19 single sinks. The rugged, field-serviceable frame carries over from the original, and Alliance Defenders Limited performs the refit at the Alpheratz works.
