Merlin C

The Merlin C is a 60-ton brawler, a 3093 rebuild of the 3010 MLN-1A on Clan technology, cruising at 43 km/h and topping out near 65. Where the MLN-1A carried a Medium Laser in each arm, this variant fields an Improved Heavy Medium Laser in the Left Arm and Right Arm, and the Right Torso's PPC and LRM 5 give way to an ER PPC and a Streak LRM 5. The Left Torso's Flamer carries over, but its Machine Gun is replaced by a Heavy Machine Gun. Ferro-lamellor armor replaces the standard plating of the original, and double heat sinks stand in for the earlier single units. The frame keeps its rugged, field-serviceable build and easily-serviced layout, and Mountain Wolf BattleMechs still produces it at Alpheratz.
