Recognition Notes
The Locust LCT-5W2 is a 20-ton scout, a 3079 rework of the 2499-era LCT-1V. Where the original carried twin Machine Guns and a Medium Laser, this variant swaps the arm-mounted machine guns for a pair of ER Medium Lasers and replaces the center-torso Medium Laser with a TAG. A 180 XL fusion engine and endo steel structure raise its cruising speed from 86 to 97 km/h and its top speed from 130 to 151 km/h, and with MASC engaged it can sprint to 194 km/h. Light ferro-fibrous armor replaces the base model's standard plating, and it carries ten double heat sinks in place of the LCT-1V's ten single sinks. A Guardian ECM suite and C3 slave unit sit in the right torso, with the MASC unit housed in the center torso. It keeps the chassis's minimal, weapon-pod arms without hands and its low, hard-to-target silhouette. Corean Enterprises - MacAdams-Suharno builds the type at Stewart.
