Recognition Notes
The LCT-5V rebuilds the Locust as a 20-ton striker, where the LCT-1V of 2499 served as a scout. In place of the twin machine guns it carries a Rocket Launcher 10 in each arm, and the single medium laser in the center torso is replaced by a pair of ER medium lasers in the same location. Ferro-fibrous armor replaces the standard plating of the original, and the heat sinks are upgraded from single to double type, all while holding the same 86 km/h cruising speed and 130 km/h top speed. It keeps the low, hard-to-target silhouette and the minimal, hand-less weapon-pod arms of the earlier model. Majesty Metals and Manufacturing builds it at Canopus IV, among other sites.
