Recognition Notes
The Locust LCT-1Vb is a 20-ton striker that fights close in, cruising at 86 km/h and topping out at 130. Where the LCT-1V scout carried a Machine Gun in each arm, this configuration replaces them with a Medium Pulse Laser and a Small Pulse Laser per arm, and keeps the Medium Laser in the center torso. A 160 XL fusion engine and endo steel structure free up mass for the heavier arm weapons, and ferro-fibrous armor replaces the standard plating of the original; ten double heat sinks handle the added laser heat. It keeps the same minimal, weapon-pod arms without hands, low silhouette, and cramped cockpit as the LCT-1V. Bergan Industries builds the type at its Ares plant, with a second line at New Earth.
